9:00am – 4:30pm, Thursday 26th October 2017 at The Exchange Hotel Cardiff, 4-5 Mount Stuart Square, Cardiff, CF10 5FH
On the 26th October, Food and Drink Wales will be hosting a conference in Cardiff dedicated to identifying skill gaps within the food and drink sector, and the challenges posed by Brexit. The event will focus on the specific contours of the challenges faced by Wales, but will also have a broad relevance for individuals and companies across the UK. This will provide an excellent opportunity to hear expert views of the difficulties and opportunities ahead.
The AFTP Director, Professor Carol Wagstaff, will be speaking at the event on a panel entitled ‘Skills development across the food and drink supply chain’, alongside representatives from the Welsh Government, Lantra Wales, and the Co-Operative. AFTP representatives will also be taking part in the speed-dating event, match-making industry with trainers. We’re excited to take part in these discussions, and present our own experiences of delivering high-level training to the food and drink sector.
Deborah Kendale (AFTP Business Development and Marketing Manager, University of Nottingham) and Marty Spittle (AFTP Coordinator, Aberystwyth University) will also be attending, so if you’re visiting this event, feel free to drop by the AFTP stand and say hello. We love attending these events and hearing from people in the industry, so if you’d like to learn more about how our training could benefit you or your business, or just have a chat with us about the themes of this conference, please do! We hope to see at least some of you on the 26th for what promises to be an interesting and informative event.
